Special Olympics Australia provides weekly grassroots sporting, recreational, social and health activities for people with an intellectual disability in local communities throughout Australia.
With the support of volunteers, we provide an environment which focuses on what people with an intellectual disability can do rather than what they can’t, allowing them to develop physical fitness, build self-esteem, demonstrate courage and make friends. We also provide pathways for competition ranging from state to national and international competition.
