Special Olympics Australia provides weekly grassroots sporting, recreational, social and health activities for people with an intellectual disability in local communities throughout Australia.
With the support of volunteers, we provide an environment which focuses on what people with an intellectual disability can do rather than what they can’t, allowing them to develop physical fitness, build self-esteem, demonstrate courage and make friends. We also provide pathways for competition ranging from state to national and international competition.
Scope is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to support people with physical, intellectual, and multiple disabilities achieve their goals.
We provide a range of services for both children and adults, including lifestyle options, individualised support, therapy, supported accommodation, and community inclusion.
Our mission is simple; to enable the people we support to live as empowered and equal citizens.
Whatever an individual’s goal in life, Scope can make it happen.
